Cookie Policy
Effective 2025-05-01 · Version 1.0
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to the website owner about how visitors use the site.
Similar technologies include:
- Local storage — data stored in your browser that persists beyond a session, similar to cookies but not transmitted with every request;
- Session storage — data stored in your browser for the duration of a single browsing session; and
- Pixel tags and web beacons — small invisible images embedded in pages or emails that register when content has been loaded.
Where we refer to “cookies” in this Policy, we mean all of these technologies unless otherwise specified.
2. Where This Policy Applies
2.1 Intrigsoft Marketing Website
Our marketing website (intrigsoft.com and any Dioschub product pages) uses cookies to ensure the site functions correctly and, in future, to understand how visitors interact with our content.
2.2 Customer Portal
The Dioschub customer portal — where Operators log in via magic link and access their Licence Key — uses strictly necessary cookies to maintain your authenticated session. No tracking or analytics cookies are used in the portal.
2.3 Paddle Checkout
When you purchase a Dioschub Pro subscription, you are directed to a checkout experience hosted by Paddle. Paddle sets its own cookies on that checkout page to process your payment securely and prevent fraud. Paddle’s cookie and privacy practices are governed by Paddle’s own Privacy Policy, available at paddle.com. Intrigsoft does not control cookies set by Paddle.
2.4 Self-Hosted Dioschub Installations
The Dioschub software that Operators deploy on their own infrastructure may use browser storage mechanisms (such as session tokens) to maintain chat sessions and authentication state. These are set by the Operator’s own deployment, not by Intrigsoft. Operators are responsible for disclosing and managing cookies set by their Dioschub instances under their own cookie policies.
3. Cookies We Currently Use
3.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the Intrigsoft Sites to function. They cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality. No consent is required for strictly necessary cookies under applicable law.

Note on the magic link session cookie
When you log in to the customer portal via a magic link, a session cookie is set to keep you authenticated while you access your Licence Key. This cookie expires when you close your browser or after a fixed inactivity period. No persistent tracking is involved.
3.2 Functional Cookies
Functional cookies remember your preferences to improve your experience. We currently use one functional cookie:

3.3 Analytics Cookies
Not currently in use — placeholder for future update
Intrigsoft does not currently use analytics cookies on its website or customer portal. When analytics tools are introduced, this section will be updated at least thirty (30) days before those cookies are set, and appropriate consent mechanisms will be implemented.
[OPERATOR ACTION REQUIRED: When you add an analytics tool (e.g. Plausible, Fathom, Google Analytics), update this section with: the tool name, cookie names set, their purpose, duration, and whether consent is required. Also update the cookie table in Section 3.3 and the consent mechanism in Section 5.]
3.4 Marketing and Advertising Cookies
Intrigsoft does not currently use marketing or advertising cookies and does not participate in cross-site advertising networks. If this changes in future, this Policy will be updated and appropriate consent obtained.
4. Third-Party Cookies
Currently, the only third-party cookies set on Intrigsoft Sites are those placed by Paddle during the checkout process, as described in Section 2.3. These are strictly necessary for payment processing and fraud prevention.
Intrigsoft does not embed third-party social media widgets, advertising pixels, or content from external platforms on its Sites that would result in additional third-party cookies being set without your knowledge.
When analytics or other third-party tools are introduced in future, they will be listed here with links to the relevant provider’s cookie and privacy documentation.
5. Your Choices and Cookie Controls
5.1 Browser Settings
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- View cookies that have been set and delete individual ones;
- Block all cookies or cookies from specific sites;
- Set your browser to notify you when a cookie is being set; and
- Browse in private or incognito mode, which prevents cookies from being saved after the session ends.
Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent the customer portal from functioning correctly — you will not be able to maintain a login session or access your Licence Key.
5.2 Consent Banner
Where required by applicable law (including the EU ePrivacy Directive and GDPR), Intrigsoft will display a cookie consent banner when non-essential cookies are introduced. The banner will give you the ability to accept or decline non-essential cookie categories individually.
Currently, as only strictly necessary and functional cookies are in use, a consent banner is not legally required. This will be implemented before any analytics or marketing cookies are deployed.
5.3 Opt-Out Links
When analytics or advertising cookies are introduced, opt-out links to the relevant provider’s opt-out mechanisms will be added here. For example:
- [Google Analytics opt-out: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout — add when applicable]
- [Plausible Analytics: cookieless by default, no opt-out required — add if Plausible is chosen]
6. Cookie Duration
Cookies we set fall into two duration categories:
- Session cookies — these are deleted automatically when you close your browser. We use session cookies for authentication and checkout flow state.
- Persistent cookies — these remain on your device until they expire or you delete them. We currently use one persistent cookie (theme_pref) which expires after one year.
The duration of third-party cookies set by Paddle is governed by Paddle’s own cookie policy.
7. Do Not Track
Some browsers include a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. As Intrigsoft does not currently use tracking or analytics cookies, DNT signals have no practical effect on your experience of Intrigsoft Sites at this time. When analytics tools are introduced, we will review our approach to DNT signals and update this Policy accordingly.
8. Note for Dioschub Operators
Your responsibility as an Operator
If you operate a Dioschub deployment and expose it to users via a web interface — including via the Dioschub chat widget embedded in your own site — you are responsible for your own cookie compliance.
Specifically, you must:
-
Determine what cookies or browser storage your Dioschub deployment sets (e.g. session tokens, theme preferences, chat history).
-
Disclose those cookies in your own Cookie Policy.
-
Implement appropriate consent mechanisms where required by the laws applicable to your users.
-
If you embed third-party LLM providers or other services whose code runs in the user's browser, disclose any cookies those services set.
Intrigsoft's Cookie Policy covers only cookies set by Intrigsoft Sites. It does not cover your deployment.
9. Changes to This Policy
Intrigsoft will update this Cookie Policy when new cookies are introduced, existing cookies are changed, or third-party tools are added or removed. The updated Policy will be published on our website with a new effective date.
Where new non-essential cookies are introduced, we will provide at least thirty (30) days’ notice before those cookies are set, and will implement appropriate consent mechanisms before doing so.
